I FOUND U COLLECTIVE AT KING'S
The process used to make these images is simple. In early September, using my Ipad, I videoed my early morning walk around King’s. There was no attempt to make a film, just to simply record the walk. I shared the video with the artists of I Found U collective. They each selected several frames and these were exported as jpegs. The artists worked on the image files using various methods, before making the final digital images displayed here. The images were printed on foam board (approximately 38cm x 67 cm) and these panels are on show in the Art Rooms at King’s College from 10th November until the end of the calendar year. The project explores how the I Found U collective collaborates to imaginatively engage with a place, even if the participating artists have never visited the country concerned. Artists combine their own personalities, aesthetic principles and artistic processes whilst using communication technologies to support the making and sharing of the images.
